>>Thanks for this thread - bleeding edge it seems. I successfully programmed windows down via remote (up doesn't work), flasher turn signals, and fixed wing. Saved this for last.... attempted to program the horn beep on lock/unlock, programming completed but the feature doesn't work. Next I checked again and it has locked me out of the feature. Any advice?<<

Read posts 71-75, 78 and 82, I had the same issue then solved it.

Thanks, I was wondering if anyone was able to get the Foxwell to clear the code as I don’t have access to a Durametic.

The reason you clear the code is for the Foxwell device so it could read "rear" again.
Hi AreaOne

You do mean

1) CODING REAR -> "Alarm Control" (3rd from the top in the below image) -> "Siren"
1) CODING REAR -> "Alarm Control" (3rd from the top in the below image) -> "Horn"

I am understanding this correct? I did try this but I couldnt get it to work. Does "Alarm Siren" need to be set to "installed"?

They said they needed a few months to source a car like mine. Never heard back, even with a follow up. Sent in another ticket in June 2019, still havent heard back.

Maybe if enough of us send in tickets/complain, they will prioritize??

UPDATE:
Sept 17 2019 Foxwell update supposedly fixes the oil change service message issue, so they say. Dont have an oil change for couple of months, will update then. Unless someone beats me to it. Fingers-crossed.

UPDATE (2019-09-30):
Using the foxwell tool on a 997.2 (2011) 911 Turbo, there are now new screens after entering oil reset function. Previously a message stated "service not supported". I'll confirm successful reset post-oil change (within next 2 months)

Dang, I literally just bought an Icarsoft to reset the oil reminder warning. It doesn't have any programming ability, I would have preferred this unit but needed the maintenance reset.

Sorry I didn’t see this post earlier, your screen look different than the one on I have on my durametric, let me hook it up then compare screens and I’ll get back to you.

But when I used the Foxwell I changed the alarm from horn to siren and that is where I had the issue with the Foxwell not reading rear, so using the durametric I discovered I had a code, cleared it, then went to alarm and changed it back from siren to horn. Then I hooked up my Foxwell and it was able to read rear again.

By the way I see you are using durametric version 6.3.2.5 I’m using 6.5.5.12 that’s probably the reason why I don’t recognize your screenshot because of the different versions.

Maybe you can resell the icarsoft unit with minimal loss. I've checked the foxwell tool and it seems the fix will address the oil reset, still have to confirm post-oil change.

I can confirm Service Reminder Reset successful on my 2006 997.1 with the 9/17/2019 update on the Foxwell NT520 Pro. However the process causes additional codes throughout many modules that you have to clear. Most were "Lost Communication with Instrument Cluster" or something like that. Quick Erase did not clear and I had to manually hit each module with errors and clear them.

Great! Quick erase has been an issue for me too for a couple of years. It's quite annoying!

Could you log a service ticket with Foxwell on the quick erase issue? I'll do the same again.

Keep us posted on any "abnormalities" after using the oil reset function, as it's new, would be good to monitor short term.

What options do you have for coding the PCM? Can you put in enable codes to turn on AUX input for example assuming you had the correct code from Porsche of course.....

I will log a ticket on the quick erase function. I did the Service Reminder Reset, not the Oil Reset option. Not sure if they are tied together but there are both options now.

Also of note during the Service Reminder Reset function the oil level countdown was reset at 60 min and counting. I turned the key off, disconnected the NT520 and waited about a min and turned the key on. Oil countdown was at 30 min and counting. I turned the key off again and let it sit for about an hour and upon turning the key on the oil level countdown was back to 6 sec for a cold car.

Can this program the passenger mirror to tilt down automatically when the car is in reverse? P.S. I removed my PCM.

Also, will this allow me to lower the tire pressure warning limit so I can run lower pressures without the stupid dash warning?
