Our Sport Mufflers were designed to pair perfectly with our Sport Catalytic Converters! Swap out your tired (and possibly broken at this age) cats and get gains of over 10 whp and 15 ft-lbs of torque with much improved throttle response. Sport Mufflers offer an OEM+ tone with more bark - perfect for the daily driver or weekend cruiser. It’s easy to be loud, but hard to get things just right.
I cannot make up my mind about those carbon fiber tips. Is the brand name painted? Any way to get them without white SOUL on them? On my very black car it will pop out a bit too much, so thinking about black chrome as well.. but that +$150 is a bit painful.

The carbon tips come with the SOUL logo on them in a high temp white vinyl, and we apply that before they ship out. We are happy to not do so if that's your preference

The black chrome tips look awesome on a black car. It's impossible to get a good pic but here's a few. 150 bucks is like 2 tanks of gas. 6 months from now you won't miss $150 but you will be really happy about how cool the smoked chrome tips look.

You're absolutely right. But my first pick was carbon - I've wanted one or two carbon elements on the car for some time now. And my OEM tips are in a decent shape, I painted them matte black, but don't really like that look. So chrome paint will be my next DYI attempt.
how do the sport cats pair with the 997.1 valved exhaust?
Any videos for the sound?
Quite well actually. Think of the Sport Cats as an amplifier of the open position of the Valved Exhaust System downstream in regards to sound level and with addition of raw aggression to the character. It'll knock your socks off at WOT and have you looking for the nearest tunnel haha. The valves closed flowpath on our system is conservative, so even with the sport cats added it will significantly reduce volume and allow for a mild and comfortable experience in cabin when desired. I did drive the configuration a few times but I don't think we ever got a good video together of it. If you want to give the setup a whirl, give me a shout at 4848836197 perhaps we can do a feature on your car for the website and our development thread here
When valves are closed its just a tad louder than stock. Honestly when running open after having installed for a bit, it's not that's its too loud but it does attract a bit more attention than I want cruising around town. At the track or running a convoy during a local PCA event, its musical. And tunnels are to die for.

Thanks for posting for the video, and the feedback : ) We aimed for that exhaust to be a dual personality setup to fly under the radar when needed and rip valves open for an adrenaline rush. I hope you've got some good tunnels nearby, takes awhile to get to the good ones around here haha.
Another 997.1 Valved Exhaust System is in production as we ramp up for our annual Black Friday sale. The ENTIRE SOUL exhaust suite for the 997 is 10% off, so don't hesitate to reach out and get yourself next on the list!
Finally bolted on my new Soul sport mufflers to the cats and headers I already had. They're actually kind of quieter than the stock mufflers, and lost the metallic cold start snarl, but the tone is deeper and definitely more pleasant throughout the rev range.

Thanks for chiming in with your initial impressions! Our mufflers do have a notable amount of packing material in them that "breaks in" over a period of several hundred miles and can increase in volume and become a bit throatier. I'd love to hear your thoughts as you get some more mileage on the setup
