Default Dynaplug

My 2011 GTS was showing a 3# difference in air pressure on the rear tires. I double checked using a high quality tire pressure gauge which confirmed the difference. I removed the wheel and started looking for any object that might be the cause. Finally found a 2-3 inch piece of wire or thin nail that was imbedded in the tread. I pulled it out and a very small leak was evident. Out came the Dynaplug kit and Voila! it worked the first try. Fired up the compressor and two weeks later, the pressures are exactly the same. Sure beats driving to the dealer to spend $$ having them do a flat repair and wasting a half day. I wouldn't take the center-lock wheels any where but the dealer for fear of wheel breakage or improper torquing. Using the Porsche tire sealant isn't going to happen either.

The dealer may be reluctant to plug a wheel on a hpsc due to liability issues

So you’re not going to take the tire/wheel/car into the shop to have the tire patched from the inside?

I am happy with the small Dynaplug that was installed and have no plans to take the wheel to the dealer. I will continue to monitor the tire pressures but after two weeks - no change. The tires will be replaced in another 5,000 miles. My bet is that this is a good long-term repair.

You should be fine with the Dynaplug repair of a hole small enough from a wire puncture. I have one of those kits in each car. Even got me home on a trip where I ran over a 3/8" bolt that took 4 Dynaplugs to seal. When I got home I had the tire patched from the inside.
