Question 2009 carrera reliability

New member and first time posting. Looking at 2009 carrera with PDK. As this is the first year of 997.2, are there any issues that were subsequently addressed in later model years that I should be aware of?
Thanks for any help.

Yes, some early 2009 cars had problems with piston ring tolerances. Porsche did replace the rings free of charge.

I did a fair amount of "homework" before buying an 09 C2S. Everything I read told me the problems they had manifested themselves very quickly. If it didn't happen in the first 10k miles, it probably wasn't going to happen. That was the year Porsche caught up to Toyota as most reliable. That was worth something to me.

I looked and didn't find anything nor a recall associated with it. Maybe it's in this book ? https://www.barnesandnoble.com/p/por...RoCBKAQAvD_BwE

Seems like an authority except I know for a fact that there are simple S's and blacks in the 2012 model year. Between FBI and I - we found 5 in the last week.
