Just stumbled across this thread. I have a 2012 Boxster Spyder, which I just got back from my dealer. It was a recent CPO purchase so I demanded they update the PCM to the absolute newest version. They updated my PCM 3.0 to Version 2.25, which they said is one disc beyond what their parts database showed as available. I'd be happy to provide you a pic, if you'd like.

I personally gave up on this and just use the various apps on my smart phone- the PCM interface is just now outdated IMO to bother with any updates to its maps.

Hi Mike
I can see that your PCM 3.0 has been updated to v2.25 and it was a Porsche dealer that’s did it, my official Porsche dealer tells me that v2.24 is the highest version available, I think it is because they are lazy.
is it possible that you can help me with a photo of the screen that shows v 2.25
Best regards
Morten

Not that I agree to disagree but you can download maps and save them. When traveling internationally, I always have a copy saved on my phone of an area just in case.
Until you get pulled over and get a ticket for simply "touching" a cell phone while in the driver's seat. NYS LAW FORBIDS EVEN TOUCHING YOUR CELL WHILE IN THE DRIVER SEAT, regardless of whether or not you are making a phone call or texting. I know, because it happened to me in NYC!
And let's not forget if you decide to drive from NY to Penn and go through the Poconos (or similar area anywhere else in the world). NO CELL SERVICE = NO WAZE EITHER!

doclouie, I tried replying to your PM but you've apparently exceeded your stored private messages quota. No dice on the address you asked me to check. It's not there on the V2.25.
That being said, I am not 100 percent sure that I did not just get the PCM update without maps, if that is possible. If there's a specific feature of the updated maps that I could look for to let me know my maps were also updated, then I could tell you definitively.

I have a 2017 Cayenne which I purchased new in Canada where I live. The vehicle's manual shows that map updates can be done by way of wi-fi using a SIM card. Problem is my Cayenne has no SIM card slot, which should be located between the two SD card slots, below the CD slot. Upon checking with the dealer where I bought the vehicle from, I was told 2017 Cayenne's sold in Canada does not come equipped with SIM card slots, and that updating the map of the NAV system can be done by the dealer. Does anyone in Canada have this same experience ?
