PCM 3.0 Maps 2018/2019?
Anyone know when, and if, there will be new maps for 2018/2019?

Suncoast's web site says their discs are 2016 maps, latest available. The firmware version is separate from the map version. My unit has v2.23, but last update history was 2012. The firmware update is on the maps discs. The maps are code locked, and only a dealer can unlock and install them in your vehicle. Local service advisor says it takes 4 hours to load and about 10% of the PCM's fail to boot after an update and have to be repaired.
Pretty odd system.
Most cars, you can just buy the disc and load it yourself.

I just had my maps and FW updated, the FW went to 2.24 and the map history now shows maps from 2013. Just trying to ensure I received the latest maps, has anyone else had their maps recently updated? What version/dates does your maps show?

CabrioArti I am almost positive that I received this firmware and map update in summer of 2014. It could have been 2015. I am waiting for the next edition of updated maps.

My dealership has told me that this will be the last update, There will be no more. They said, Porsche doesn't want to go through the effort to build any update discs and all of the new cars update over the air using either WiFi or the cell networks.

I have debated about getting mine updated as my neighborhood does not exist in the database currently, but I want to make sure my neighborhood exists in the new database. The neighborhood is only about 4-5 years old.

‘I had the hardest time debating on updating my PCM maps, then more or less due to delays from my dealer ..I settled with using the GPS apps from my mobile phones i.e. google maps , mapquest, apple maps ..far more superior with real time traffic and latest maps ymmv

Is it possible to send me a screen shot, I will need to prove to my dealer that they didn't install the latest version.This is really annoying, I paid them their outrageous sum of money to upgrade and I don't even get the latest version.

Its also not uncommon for a manufacturer to stop making updated discs after awhile. I know BMW stopped around 2015 or so, as most of theirs are hard drive enable codes now.

I just noticed that Suncoast says they have 2018/2019 map update. I don't recall seeing that last time I checked. Anyone get this yet?
