Default Soft spoiler lip

For those of you who hate cheap non OEM Porsche solutions - look away.

If you have wondered what a soft lip similar to EZ lip looks like on a 997 - continue reading.

Background is that I have been thinking about adding a spoiler lip but have read so many posts about cracked spoiler lips and I have 7 speed bumps just entering/exiting my neighbourhood so I cannot have a fixed one. I'm also considering Eibachs so it will be even lower.

So - I decided to go a bit crazy and ordered a cheap soft lip from China. Was surprised about the feel as it was better than I expected. Also easy to fit but extremely important to clean surface with alcohol or similar before fitting.

Have been testing it in 240 km/h plus with no issues so I will keep it.

I bought it here but there are many places. I unrolled it and let it rest extended overnight before fitting. Also added very small screws + washer in most critical places.

Universal Black Car Front Bumper Lip Splitter Spoiler Lip Skirt Protector Car Bumper strip 6cm x 250cm.

can you take a good couple pics of where it ends near the wheel well? Wondering what that looks like.
thanks for sharing

I remember looking at these several years ago. Looks good for an alternative to super expensive chin spoilers. Easily replaced if damaged ;^)
Can you take a couple pics doing about 125 mph

lol... it's actually active aero that deforms at high speed like the vents on the 458. it will bend lower creating more surface area to more more air around the car. good for 3 more hp too.

That's exactly what I was thinking. "Active Aero"
I actually think it's a cool idea, if only it can withstand deforming at high speeds

Looks great!

I bought this a year or so ago but opted not to use. It is way too soft of a durometer. It will deform at low speeds. Strictly cosmetic.

i've seen this exact product on a pair of GT3s used as a cosmetic side skirts and they didn't look that bad at all. trimming and mounting need to be done with care like Racetwin did here.

Here are a few pics of the end to the wheel wells.

I decided to go low at the ends where there is a plastic flange that could meet with the lip. It takes a slight bend at the end but I didn't want it sticking out so you could see the end of it.

I am going to reinstall this on my black 997 - had it before and liked it a lot. Unfortunately - a buddy drove me car and wasn't so careful on ramps, so it had to go. I ended up trimming the ends to blend where the factory black plastic begins on Racetwin2's images. I originally installed similar to his images, but didn't love the ends below the black plastic - it looked better imho. Thanks fo posting these pics.
