Car is 100 Lbs Lighter!!!! Whoohooo! Free weight savings!
2009 C2S 124K miles...
How did I do it? 100 free pounds of weight saving? Really..... oh you bet. And here is how I did it: I washed it! Yep that was it! New Jersey has all kinds of nasty stuff besides the characters residing near NYC... kind of a sandy dirt that sets up like cement.... good for taking care of those pesky business associates I reckon.
The last I washed the darn thing was maybe October last year. I think this was the longest I went without a wash. I forgot my car was Ruby Red Metallic!!! Wow, cool color. Bucket O'Water, Dawn... done.
I also swapped my winter tires for summer and I found the cause of a vibration I was getting: The right front wheel had clods of cemented sand and dirt stuck to the inside rim. I was out in the marshes this winter taking pictures of stupid birds and it was mucky..... snow tires are great for getting my C2S into crazy places.... I just pass the Jeeps and climbers.... get to where those birds are. Snow tires are great mud tires too.
FYI: I found the best rubber care product on the market: Zaino Z16 Tire Gloss. I contacted Zaino first, and they approved its use on plastics.... so I put it on anything black plastic. Wow, even after the entire winter, the effects of the stuff could still be seen on my frunk plastic parts keeping it nice and black. The gloss is not too much, at least not like that awful wet ArmorAll look. It is also the longest lasting tire treatment I found. http://www.zainostore.com/product/Z-16.html
My Zaino treatment (no silly expensive ceramic/diamond/nuclear coatings):
1 Sealant then wait a few hours - darn this is fast and easy - just slop it on, wipe, walk away - 10 mnts to do tops! No kidding
2 Gloss spray - darn this is fast and easy - just slop it on, wipe, walk away - 10 mnts to do tops! No kidding
3 Tire Gloss on all rubber and black plastic - darn this is fast and easy - just slop it on, wipe, walk away
My Zaino arsenal.... all I need:

Hmmm, not quite ready here 60 miles west of you. It was supposed to snow again last Saturday. They messed that forcaste up. Probably next weekend. I was gonna swap to my summer tires, but then my clutch started slipping on Thursday. Today it's new clutch day at Bodymotion. Then wash and rims. Can't wait. Great owl pic!
