2009. Last December I bought my first Porsche, an '09 C2 coupe 6MT, 35k miles, paid $42k. Very happy with it. 9A1 engine in that car and newer does away with IMS issue altogether.

Just get all your cash together in a liquid state or all your loan stuff done at the beginning as you will probably have to act fast when you find what you want. Be patient too and don’t compromise. Even unicorns can be found for the patient people.

Excellent advice that should be heeded. Make sure to get a thorough Pre Purchase Inspection (PPI)

Definitely out of the ordinary. Just because of the age - water pump, thermostat, belt, reservoir tank (possibly), plugs (and some might say coils) - should be service/replaced.

Finding the car was the easy part compared to waiting for weather that's nice enough to drive it. It almost made it above freezing today, It snowed a few days ago, so the streets have a coating of salt. I don't really want to drive my C2S until we get some rain to wash the salt away, but it doesn't rain much when it's 25 degrees. I'm sure you will be able to relate.
