Chrono - why? Tips, secrets?

Sport Chrono seems to be a feature commonly found on Porsches including mine. I, however, don't expect I'll ever need to time laps - has anyone found an alternative use for this cool looking feature?

Someone changed it out by putting in a dual gauge.
Maybe you could figure out how to get a Valentine radar detector display into it.
