High pressure fuel pump
Coming home from airport with pdk in manual. Having fun on rural roads. Running close redline in 1-3. Came to red light at main road. Turned green and did usual and lit it up. Stumbling. It went to third. Warning in reduced power mode. Oh no. Put in auto. Ran bad and transmission wouldn't do but 3rd and above. 3 miles from home. Got in garage. Restarted car. Got reduced power warning. Oh no. I've ruined pdk. Oh. No. My life is over.
Car only has 47k on it. Thought why me lord. Had towed to dealer. Turns out high pressure fuel gauge, which stuns me died at this point. Only 10% of pdk replacement. Isn't it amazing $2200 expense makes you happy?
Car just weeks out of cpo warranty. Porsche NA covering anyway!! That's way to get customer for life. I'm impressed and deeply thankful.
I can take another dive trip now porsche na is covering (at least that's story telling wife)

There was a recall on the high pressure pump on some of the cars. My 2009 was dropped off at the dealer 5 hours ago for this exact issue. My loaner is a 2018 Cayman. Nice car, but I miss my 911.

Mine's 2011. Believe recall was for 997.2 thru build date somewhere in 2010. So I was very happy to get covered.
