New rubber recommendations.

These cars are so capable, even with "pretty good" tires on the them, the car's capability will exceed that of 95% of us during street use, if we're being honest with ourselves. Anyone who needs the ultimate grip afforded by a Michelin 4S during street driving, either doesn't understand how to smoothly drive a car quickly with proper cornering dynamics and balance and is relying far too heavily on his tires to "save" him. That $1,000 tire cost difference would be better spent on a Driver's education day or at the Porsche Experience Center as that knowledge you'd keep forever for the price paid instead of losing it after 20,000 miles. Put whatever tires you want on your car and set me or another driver up in a similar car with Invos or evo2s - let's go to the mountains and see how far ahead you end up. Now some tires just have a different feel than others and if you like the feel of the Michelins better than other brands with respect to turn in, release close to the limit, road noise, wet characteristics, etc that's kind of a different story and maybe paying an extra $1,000 every 20,000 miles is worth that difference, but from purely a grip and cornering perspective, it's certainly not.

After bad experiences with s04 (maybe ground was too wet, but tires also too soft to inspire confidence) and extreme contact dw (maybe tires were improperly stored by seller and aged out, dsc flickers at moderate speed turns, tires slip under hard braking) I now feel life is too short for crappy tires. Mps4s is worth the cost. With the mileage I put on, the rubber is likely to age out before they wear out so why waste time driving on tires with suboptimal characteristics? 10,000 - 20,000 mi is still a lot of miles and especially on a 911
A single driving class is not going to give you the skill to drive better. You need to practice often to build and keep up the skills. Which means you’ll be replacing tires often again. MPS4S are confidence inspiring. The others are frustrating. It’s just part of the cost of the sports car lifestyle.

I DD'ed some out of date P zero's.
I DD'ed a set of Bridgestones.
I DD'ed a set of MPSS.
Michelins were my favorite.
I know your in ottawa. My ski buddy sold his car and PFAFF did not want his new MPSS tires.
They have been sitting in his garage for 3 years, getting old.
They wouldn't have 5oo km on them.
He's too lazy to sell them, too lazy to ship them. Are you ever in toronto?
PM moi.
