Where is it coming from? Pink could be coolant or power steering. Is it thin or oily? If it's thin like water, it's probably coolant.

No, power steering is a dark green color. If its pink its coolant.

Yes its Pink! You think it maybe a line or a seal..is been parked in the garage for over a month without any serious highway driving. I have a major service schedule in a couple of weeks. it only have 69,000 miles. The price is est 1,400.00 this is my first service on it since I had it. is that a fair service price for a major.

For the reservoir, it is easy: just slide you hand under it (when the engine is cold of course) and verify that nothing leaks.
For the pump.....it is not so obvious and it is most likely the culprit. At close to 70K miles, you must replace it as a preventive measure.

If it's coming from beneath the engine, favoring the left side a bit, definitely water pump. Porsche was always an AIR-COOLED engine manufacturer for Christ's sake, so they STILL are learning how to deal with EGW!

If you are handy and have a fairly good investment in tools already, you can do it yourself. See the Rennlist DIY guide. I am on number three WP at this juncture--and 109,000 miles. Two courtesy of Porsche, and one that I had to buy, and I elected to install it myself.
