Default 996 spare tire kit on 997 c2??

will the 996 spare tire kit fit on a 997 c2?? i know the base brake calipers are smaller and i think the same size as the 996..

I have one in my 997S. It Just fits standing up at the back of the cavity but you need a bungy strap hooked across to the plastic as otherwise the lid won’t close. Negative is that you loose valuable space for two suitcases for trips. BTW, picked it up used on one of the forums for $100.

i just need it for long trips just in case... but it fits both front and rear?

I don't believe you're supposed to use the space saver in the rear. You're supposed to move a good front tire to the back, and then put the space saver in the front.

Should have clarified. Mine is a full size donut (as opposed to a “collapsible” tire) and jack from a 996.
