Default My first Porsche 997.2 S

Hello. I had a long time dream of having a 911, and just traded my bmw for a 997.2 S. I'm from Portugal, and i got one with around 110.000 Kilometres, with very few extras. The car was well taken care, and it feels very solid.
I'm overwhelmed with the size and knowledge on this forum!
Some minor questions have arised: The car got the PCM 3.0, without any usb or aux socket, and without satnav. Was that an extra (usb and aux)? Can I have a aux port easy installed?
The PCM has the bluetooth function, but I cannot sync with any phone (at least an iphone ios11 and an android). Do I need to have it updated on Porsche?
All my troubles are the PCM system
For maintenance, I'm still in doubt if make the first one of my ownership with an official service centre or with a Porsche specialist outside. what are you thoughts? (The car needs a service right away, but was part of the deal not to have it done so I can choose the shop).

Thanks for having me

look in your glovebox for the Aux input and USB. Look for threads about "getting bluetooth in my 997"
Easy to do.
Your car should be able to see you phone. Have a look at the owner's manual and go through the sync procedure.
As for maintenance, you should ask some Pcar owners in your area if a dealer or indy makes sense.

Sweet! Welcome to the 997.2S brotherhood. You're gonna love it. Can't answer the tech questions - as I have turned on my radio about half a dozen times, but I'm sure the RL faithful can sort you out. Congrats...T

The USB and aux input are in the little storage compartment between the seats. If you do not see it, it was not ordered from the factory, it is an option.... but can be added.

Or, you can add just the aux cable... the PCM3 unit is made by Becker, a German electronics supplier to Porsche. You should find a Euro-source for Becker repair and accessories.

Good luck.

Google is your friend..... these harnesses just snap into the back of the PCM head unit. You may be able to access the socket just by removing the side panels.... not sure. You may look around the Becker website as I think they have an iPhone adapter too..... it is all ready to go, you just need to plug the stuff in..... so I understand. You may want to contact a local car stereo installer who works on 997 cars..... I can;t imagine taking more than 1/2 hour to do this work.

Peace

Thanks Bruce and all the others that gently reply to my topic.
I will look as well to that cable. They said that probably coding is needed to activate aux port. Does anyone now if its possible with the durametric cable?

Thanks!

I think I remember, 2009 PCM 3.0 cars without NAV do not come with Bluetooth streaming. I had the same thing with my car. It got replaced with an aftermarket unit.
