Engine cover release wire
We changed out my spark plugs, put in new Fisters and Fabspeed crossover pipes this weekend. There is a cable under the driver side taillight that releases the engine compartment lid.
whats the point? To get the taillight out the engine compartment lid needs to be open. What am I missing?
At least the one in front makes some sense, even though it is a PITA to get to.

The engine release wire can be easily rerouted to behind the rear license plate and taped in place. If you do this all you need to access it is a phillips head screwdriver. It pulls and works fine from this location and angle and you wont have to fish for it or scratch up your car with a coat hanger.
