Love the wheel on slate gray (and the calipers painted to pop!). Are these the BBS CH-R's? Did you color-match? It looks amazing!
Thank you! I was really impressed with the orange, and agree they really pop. The original red was quite faded, and no amount of cleaning would bring them back, so I took the plunge for powder coating. That necessitated a complete rebuild of them too, as upon disassembly it became apparent the dust seals were toast, and most of the pistons were slightly scored too. I also added Stoptech braided stainless lines during the reassembly.
The wheels are indeed CH-Rs, in 19x9 and 19x12. I realize now I probably could have gone with slightly wider than OE sizes, but I'll have to leave that for when these current tires are done. I bought the CH-Rs second hand from another Rennlister a few years ago, and powder coated them last year in 'black chrome'. I chose the colour because I liked it, but I think subconsciously my mind worked to match the paint. I didn't do it intentionally! But I'm really glad with how the whole aesthetic turned out, very very pleased. I actually hummed and hawed for weeks on the caliper colour, and was set to pull the trigger on the acid green look but felt too many other cars did that. Then I saw a shot of a C63 on mbworld by an owner in Germany who had a grey car and custom orange calipers, and thought I'd do that - and so I did!
Well, great minds and great taste think alike
everyone is killing it on this thread, but ya caught me, I just had to throw a shout out to the sport classic / ducktail family ;^)

Yup, everyone knows that grey is the best (and fastest) colour.... LOL.
