Got GT3 allocation - possibly... anyone have a preference on Touring vs. track config
So, I possibly and fingers crossed got a GT3 allocation... order placed but it's all up to Germany. I can still change my config, and BIG BIG decision is whether or not to go for the track model (wing on the back, alcantara interior, leather), OR Touring (like 911R, cloth/leather seats, retractable wing, no red stiching).
I do track 3-4 times a year, max I did was probably 6 times a few years back when I had more time... so is it worth the track package with the wing (to me looks more authentic and nicer), or just go with Touring, and make it my weekend car?!
Any input is appreciated!

Just my $.02 (Cdn) but I’d stay away from the track package - a little too boy racer-ish. My preference is always toward the more conservative, subtle look, like the R. It’s a bit of a sleeper. I also like the retro look of the cloth interior.

Congrats on the allocation!!
Me personally, I like the Touring - has a nice retro feel to it, especially with a dark exterior colour & the silver trim package.
Are you going PTS or standard colour?

Was going PTS, but F!@#ers increased the price on PTS sooo much, I may stick to standard colors...

GT3 needs a wing, though I'm not opposed to the wannabe R look either.
With that said, apparently only one GT3 in all of Canada has been specced with the Touring package. Not sure if I believe that.

Agreed, essentially GT3 without a wing isn't GT3... To me, wish they actually differentiated them a bit more even... Basically, last Naturally aspirated Porsche without a wing...

^^^^ PTS on 991.2 GT3 is in the five figures now....
Yeah what's the point of a GT3 without the wing? Just get a 991.2 GTS if you want to tour. and congrats on the allocation!!!
You should add a poll to this thread.
And you should ask the same exact question in the 997 GT3/2 forum.
