Default PPI in Atlanta Area

I am considering buying a 997 turbo that is located in Atlanta from a private seller. There are two Porsche dealers there and one doesn't do PPIs and the other cannot do it for almost 2 weeks. Are there any independent shops people recommend in the Atlanta area to do a PPI? Thanks.

I can recommend a great indy mechanic. His shop is just outside 285 in Marietta.

Give Brian Ettl, owner of Eurotech Performance Group, a call.

Great guy. He personally owns a 997 and does quite a few PPIs...
Good luck!

Default My Experience with Roock

I just bought a 997 Turbo and took it to Roock Autosport, $125. Not sure if I would recommend though. I did so based on a previous service encounter with this garage that had gone bad, and wanted to throw some extra business their way.

They found a few minor things engine related but I think may have missed on a big one, the tires. I found after purchase that insides of a couple of tires were worn down to cords - now I'm completely responsible there and should have checked as well, my fault. But I think tires would be covered in a PPI right? They also missed that the spoiler button didn't work, trunk opening buttons didn't work, and the parking brake was loose. These are all things you can and should check. Also verify they have both keys (mine didn't), a manual, floor mats, radio works.

Just my experience for what it's worth, good luck!

Default Goldcrest Motorsports has been fantastic

...in Kennesaw. Invariably, because they do so many race cars, my 997.1 is the slowest car on the property.
