Default 997 MAF SENSOR

Morning ladies and gents, I’ve been having an issue with P2188 and P2190 idle banks rich, generally pops up after approx 300 miles of driving, also on start up from cold the exhaust on the right rumbles and pops for a minute or two???, I unplugged the MAF sensor earlier while the engine was running and it made very little difference, does this sound like a faulty MAF sensor to you guys??? Cheers mark

If unplugging the MAF makes no difference, then its likely not a faulty MAF. Unplugging it would put the car into limp mode which has it use middle of the road values for everything rather than adjusting fuel trims based on the MAF readings. Unplugging it would've made it better if the MAF was bad.

I think you may have a vacuum leak somewhere. Have you worked on anything related to the intake system recently (plenum, throttle body, air filter, etc)?

I had a similar issue recently. Mine had different codes though. Both banks were rich. After replacing the MAF I havn’t had a code since.
