Default 997 vs 991 - Review from owner of both cars!

Here's a cool video I just saw on YouTube... this guy owns both 997 and 991 and compares them for you, and subjectively rates them from his perspective.

Worth a watch

1. He says "Porsh".
2. His steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car.

"I'm not a Yuppie.." But I have two 911s ...I guessed he would close as a 997 man.

Cut him some slack. He's being helpful while having a valid pov. I reached the very same conclusion after an extended test drive. I kind of liked it though. It would be the perfect DD for me, smooth and quiet vs my fistered, rambunctious 997.2 cab . I smiled though when I took off in mine.

eh, once he started calling a 997 raw, he lost some credibility.

It's all relative. I also have an Exige S with tune so I can balk when owners say their GT3s are "raw."

Agree, but there has to be a limit sonewhere. a cl mercedes is probably raw compared to a rolls royce but that doesnt really make either raw

It’s the circle of life. 991.1 already owners call their cars “raw” in comparison to 991.2 cars. I’ve seen it here on Rennlist. When the 992 launches, the 991 will become the last true 911, raw and visceral, etc. Hakuna Matata.

lol, ain't that the truth. With all this rawness going around, my 993 must be one step above a model A

With all this rawness< I feel I am getting a little chaffed on all the wrong places....way to visceral .......

But I really like the Yellow.....its like a big smiley face

Ah, yes. The older Lotus were wonderfully fun on the track. I have a fully striped out weight reduced Elise with carbon fibre front and clam shell, lexan window, cage, ohlins, lightweight wheels, lightweight rotors, full slicks, cat by pass, stage II factory raced prepped engine . . . Car is raw and blast to drive.

I drove a Evora 400 the other day and hated it . . . Wife was going to buy it for me for my 50th. test drove and told her not to waste her money . . . so she bought me a DB11 instead. I married well.
