Default 997.2 carrera Grill guards?

Hello All,

I'm getting tired of vacuuming the front radiator ports for rocks and the like.

what do you guys like for guards?
or do the DIY hardware store screen, paint it and zippy tie it.

thanks
mike

bummer, can't see the pic!
I was thinking of just cutting the screen to size, spray some stone chip paint and mount it from the back and zippy tie the thing

There are several places to buy them if you do not want to make your own (also a lot of previous posts on RennList on this subject - search grill guards or mesh guards so something similar). But to purchase check out Rennline and Zunsport for starters. I have the Zunsport set (all three) and they are top notch.

Dartmouth, did you purposely ditch the center thing?

Thanks, I used smaller zip ties but attached them at all four corners of the horizontal supports and in the middle underneath the horizontal supports where they meet the vertical support. Worked fine so far up to 120 mph (at the track)

Not sure, it's the gutter guard material they sell at Lowes. It was somewhat tough to cut with metal cutting shears.

Probably, but also had to buy some paint. It's powder coated but where I cut it there was bare metal so painted those spots. Making the template wasn't a whole lot of fun. Trial and error for that.

I went with Zunsport. They are top quality and a lot stronger/thicker than the gutter guard and other materials being used for home made solutions.

I also like that fact that they mount on the OUTSIDE and give a nice flush and uniform look to all three intakes.
