There is no grain. It can be applied any which way.

Beautiful color. Big fan of green, brown and orange. Bad for re-sale so wrap would be way to go.

Impressive my friend.... I'd like to try a "simple" project. Maybe a racing stripe??? For kicks? Is that as bad as leaving the spoiler all the time? up

Any updates here? how many hours do you have into it? Are you happy with the results? How do you like the color and texture?

Great job! I got some samples, but don't have the nerve to pull the trigger. Do you wax it when it is done?

I'm very happy with the results so far. I probably have 15 hours into it. Most of it is in the prep since I had a ceramic coat on it I decided compound and polish after I clay barred the entire vehicle. I am really liking the color and the satin finish. Taking the bumper off took me way longer about two hours because I was being very careful. No I could probably do it in half an hour. I'm doing this on my free time so it's taking forever, an hour here and there. Front bumper I had to get my brother over to help as it was hard to pull and stretch with only one person, but I've done everything else solo.

I will put chemical guys Jet Seal on it for matte and satin finish.

I sent my wheels to powder coat today. Gloss black finish.

On a scale of 1-10, how hard was it to wrap the bumper without any creases?

8 I would guess. I'm almost done with bumper. I don't have any creases. I give it an eight because it is very tedious. Also the "fog" lights cannot be removed from the front. It has four screws that have to be removed from the back. The only tough area I ran into was the recessed areas where you have to stretch the material to make it conform. It's not that hard just very tedious. I'm done with everything but the underside. Tomorrow I will remove the bumper to put the lights and inserts back in and finish the bottom and I'll be done with the bumper.

So you pull harder until it is stretched correctly or are there other tricks?

Looks great.

yes and no. over curved surfaces it's best to PRE stretch the material. you stretch and can heat it (best if no heat), THEN lay it over the curved surface, THEN heat again to shrink it to the curved surface. by pre stretching it you prevent it from pulling up at the edges over time.

either method will work to get the wrap over the curved surface but pre stretching is the better method

here's a GREAT tutorial for curved surface application:

10 minutes. It's two nuts you have to remove.

I find that if you pull too much it starts to discolor. I stretch to put it on, but without heat.
