Should front and rear have same gap.
2007 997 with a full tank of gas, PASM, 19'' wheels should the gap between the top of wheel and fender be the same from front to back.
I never looked that closely until today. I noticed the front wheel gap is smaller than rear by maybe a half inch. Does someone know if this is right or can they check theirs for me.
Thanks!

Can one of you kind folks take these measurements for me. I'm doing suspension work and am doing my best to tighten everything under load. Need to know I haven't messed up since the bushings will wear out fast if I did.

Porsche sets up the car with an approximate 20mm rake - slightly lower front than rear. The factory measurement points are under the car from a level ground to a point on the front and rear suspension. See the images below. For a 997.1 C2S in stock form with 19" wheels and PASM the front is 133 +/- 10mm, rear 153 +/- 10mm. These values are not adjustable.
But you can switch out springs to change your ride height to a different fixed value. Or go to coil overs with adjustable heights at each corner, like a GT3 or cup car from factory. With coil overs the adjustment range is very large plus you can have the car balanced by slightly raising and lowering each corner until the weight is evenly distributed at each corner while a driver is in the car.

I definitely have some rake after installing my H&R springs, but it's to be expected. Tire pressure, current fuel capacity, and driver weight will all affect height measurements too.
