Default Turbo boost advice needed

Hi guys first time on this site, just need some advice.
i have a 2001 996TT 6 speed Manuel... I had the boost drop out of the car it has been fixed but now it doesn't always get the same .7 bar in first and second, seems like higher gears no problem. Do these cars always get .7 boost in all gears or is it normal to range between.4-.7 in first and second?
if I floor I at low revs in 2nd will get .7, if I take it to say 3,500rpm then floor it in second will get .5.

any advice welcome thanks guys!

attempt a few runs on a flat surface from 2750 rpm and above and preferably in 3rd gear and above.. if the car won't *sustain* boost on the gauge of .7 then you may well have a continuing issue. max boost is rpm and road and even at times can be altitude ( if not attitude lol ) dependent, and what you describe doesn't sound problematic at all. though i would never attempt full boost in first gear. but thats just me.

sounds like the episodes of "5"'s, the snails weren't fully spooled is all.

I've noticed this too, and that's why I never do 1st gear pulls. It pulls harder in 2nd than it does in 1st. I usually avoid 2nd aswell, mainly do pulls from 3rd. It feels easier/better for the transmission.
