Coolant Pipes finally Welded!
Just wanted to share some pictures of having my coolant lines welded. Well thats at least where it started. I ended up saying "while we are in there " more than I would have liked, however everything is now in excellent shape the way I wanted! I basically had every piece of rubber, O-ring, and tubing replaced we could find. New front radiators (all 3), GT3 RS 4.0 clutch and LWFW from UMW, GT2 slave conversion from BBI (which is spectacular btw), GT2 clutch assist spring, Coils, plugs, water pump, temp sensors, 997 trans mount, RMS, brake flush, trans flush, coolant flush (obviously). Kevin from UMW has my tune on the way, and has provided excellent insight to the project. Jeff Brubaker from Kraftwerks Performance deserves a huge thank you for getting the car ready to go. His attention to detail is second to none.
As for the GT2 conversion. I think its pretty much perfect. The engagement is so much better its almost hard to believe its the same car... Yes it is stiff, but not unbearable in the least. Definately should be paired with the GT2 assist spring like mine has on the clutch pedal. This mod is well worth the money I paid for the BBI slave to be able to reverse it to hydraulic assist if someone else ever wanted to (I sure as hell will not).
Saturday I am installing leather Recaro Pole Positions, 6 point harnesses and a GMG World Challenge roll bar
I will post pics of those this weekend hopefully.
Enjoy!

Since you have the engine out, may I suggest you replace the coolant tank! Its easiest to do now.
Is your replacement water pump the metal impeller variety or the Porsche composite?

Had to be done sometime if I ever wanted to DE the car. Figured now is as good a time as any. I like the BBI part a lot so far, hopefully it stays that way for years to come. Bonus was the weather was half way decent, so I wasnt driving in a foot of snow.

Very nice....I just pick up the BBI slave for my car. Has not come in yet but ready to install. I like how it re-flows the power steering fluid back instead of taking apart the pump and plugging the lines
