Default Installed Dave’s eRam kit today

Another satisfied customer here. Finished installing the 4” kit with fast option. Started the install yesterday but had to finish up today due to some family obligations yesterday. Took a total of about 2.5 hours and I went rather methodically (slowly) because I wanted to make sure I did a really clean job with the wiring. The wing deploys in a around 5-6 seconds. Dave was incredibly helpful and responded quickly to my mundane questions when I had any. Overall a very straight forward install. I highly recommend this option for anyone looking to ditch the hydraulic system. I did save the old system for the next owner in case I sell the car in the future.

That’s definitely a clean install! Where did you end up putting the fuse?

Thanks, it's about 5 inches downstream from the tap at the O2 sensor

Mario you should throw your video up.
Here are a couple of quick vids of the wing deploying.

I noticed a small amount of lag on passenger side, is there a way to fine tune the deployment so they match each other?

Good catch. I was wondering about that too. It may not be that big of a deal with such a minor lag, but I definitely noticed it. I’m going to be trying some adjustments and lubrication today. Maybe Dave can chime in with a recommendation?

The instructions say something about the actuators having to break-in. Wait 6 months? BTW, mine are timed pretty well so far.

Mine has similar delay on passenger side. Been almost a year since install.

There is a fine tuning. Basically they are factory matched. Tommy, please contact me.

Another happy customer from Melbourne, Australia. Just installed my 4" Superfast kit. Echo everything above, very nicely engineered bit of kit, easy install, and works well.

One thing that was odd, I didn't have to use force at all to get the big screwdriver to put the pins into the spoiler when it was upside down, is that normal? I was expecting this huge deal, flipped the wing, check that there were 3 O-rings each side, got ready to push down hard, but it just pressed in and turned with hardly any effort?
I also have the slight motor lag on the right hand side up and down.

We made an adjustment to ease the the big screwdriver use. As stated above and in the instructions, give it several cycles to even out stroke cycle. On my 997 turbo it took a few days, but it depends upon use.

Do you happen to have any pictures of where the micro-module was installed? I'm currently chasing some issues with my eRam kit where I'm more frequently getting the spoiler warning message even though the spoiler can manually go up and down. In some cases, I'll get the warning and the spoiler won't go up or down but then after a while with the warning light still on, it'll start working again. Very frustrating.
