Default New 2005 Turbo S (man / coupe)

An intro: Hi Everyone,

I have had years of fun banter with the air cooled folks on Rennlist as the last decade of my 911 life has been with an 1987 Carrera, a 3.6 1982 SC, and a 1991 964 C4.

A couple of months ago, I decided to make the big jump to a 996TT. I was lucky to find a manual coupe museum quality dealer serviced bone stock 2005 Turbo S with PCCB and about 28,000 miles.

I've put about 1,000 miles on it and I'm blown away with power and overall driving experience. Such a massive jump in performance but still maintains the characteristics of a Porsche 911.

Here are some pics. You can guess my favourite one.

Awesome! What kind of child seat do you use, and how does it fit in regard to front seat space?

super cool car, congrats, what a find!

I have a Maxi Cosi Rubio child seat in the back of my '02, and it fits great with the seat bottom removed. I do slide the pass. seat fwd quite a bit when Jr. is onboard, but's not very often.

Beautiful car. Congrats! The back seat was a huge selling point for me because my kids could get in on the fun too.

Love the wheels...I believe those are GT3 wheels...Could they be ordered with the car? I've seen a couple 996T with them and they always look awesome to me.

Yes it was a factory option. My car came with them, too.

Sweet, they are a great looking match for our cars. Do you happen to know the widths and offsets on them?

My car was originally ordered with Sport Technos and came with rear spacers from the factory. Do the gt3 wheels come with a similar setup? Sorry OP, just curious.

The kids are big enough to use boosters now. I found a "harmony" brand booster that fits in well. Leg room is not great, but better than when I was a kid sitting in between the two seats on the armrest of my dad's e-type with big bro in the passenger seat.

my 7 year old sits in the seats as they seem to be tailor made for her as the seat belt sits where it should which is what the booster is made to do.
