Default Harness bar installation - Help!

I wanted to install a harness bar for a camcorder in my 03 TT but I can't remove the metal bracket to get to the D-Ring. This is the seat belt D-Ring that is adjustable up and down. There is a bolt behind the metal bracket that hold the D-Ring and seat belt which I need to get to but can't without bending/breaking the metal bracket.
Has anyone taken this seat belt off and can help me out?

I purchased the Harness Bar from Stable Energies. I got it to mount a camcorder to. The D-Ring is the D shaped loop that the shoulder seat belt loops through.

Gregg, Where does the BK bar attach? Are you happy with it and which restraints do you use (5,6 or 7 point)?

I have both 5 & 6 point Simpson systems (some regions are starting to require 6 when stock seats are used). This pic should help with BK attach points. BK system serves the purpose, is clean for in-out........however, by next season I need a roll bar (and wish I could find a way to do that w/out getting rid of stock seats).....but will, if I have to.

Good luck to ya.

You can also try a very light camera like this:

http://panasonic.com/consumer_electr...wear/sd_av.asp

No need for traditional mounting device and can record files that you can directly download to your computer.

The only down side is the picture quality. The vibration effect is actually less than many of the bar mounted camcorder. See it for yourself.

Thanks ypshan. Love your video. What track was that?
I already purchased the Harness Bar and Camera Mount so I ended up driving the 1 1/2 hours back to Stable Energies (out near you in Garfield, NY BTW). They got the part out in 2 minutes. They also took pictures for other's future reference. I would recommend Stable Energies if you need any similar parts.
BTW, we met at the NJ 6Speed meet last month.

David,

It's Watkins Glen. I have the video on most of the time and it recorded the comments from the instructors as well. I'd say it's definitely the best learning tool for me.
