Default An afternoon on Redwood Rd

Out with my good friend in the TTs just east of Oakland enjoying the twisties then he loses a clamp on a coolant hose or the water pump. Bummer

Literally chilling at the Chabot Staging area waiting for the flatbed...

Yup, this is my car. I will let everyone know of it's outcome. It's being looked at by Pacific Power Motorsports this morning. There was not a big puddle under the car so I'm hoping it's not serious.

On a side note, I was talking to the towing company employee and he mentioned that they rarely tow Porsche's. An occasional Cayenne, but seldom a 911. Mercedes and BMWs all the time. He said from his viewpoint, if you want a luxury car, get a Porsche or Lexus. Good to know, but for now "how's that working out for you"! Still love my car.

Pac Power is very competent so you are in good hands there.

Porsche + Lexus is right up my alley, I just scooped a '12 LS460 F-Sport from my local BMW dealer, they took it in on trade & had no idea how rare it was...

Well PPM took a look at my car and thank goodness it's only a coolant hose! And no engine damage as I shut down the car immediately. Apparently there are a couple of hoses that are susceptible to this as they are exposed to more engine heat. Eric will be replacing the second hose as a precautionary measure as I do not know how old my hoses are. We agreed that the best plan would be to go on a preventive action plan and evaluate potentially changing out other coolant hoses at routine maintenance intervals. Thank you again Eric for your help!

Thanks and glad to hear it's just a coolant hose, that's a big relief!
