I am preparing for a high speed DE and i have just noticed a slight gap between the body of the driver side mirror and a black plastic trim piece on the bottom. I have pushed it back in place, but it seems to loosen itself. Am I missing some clips or is my adhesive bad- hate to lose the piece at 150mph and have car behind me crush it!

Move the mirror inwards. Grab the outside portion of the mirror and pull out the mirror. You can pop in/move/adjust the bottom plastic piece
