Default So that went poorly. PDR in NYS?

Let me paint you a picture.
Sunny day. New toy. Nice drive
Then it all went horribly wrong...

Looks like this was the root cause

Rumble rumble

Needs replacement

Needs replacement too

PDR anyone?

Rim actually looks pretty good. The rubber protected it I think

So if you were driving on the Taconic earlier and saw a green porker pulled over by the side of the road with a very nice cop behind me, I wasn't getting a ticket, I was getting a flatbed...

Yes I know the tire is getting on a bit, but I wasn't exactly caning it. The replacement for it is on the floor in my garage next to the rim - I wanted to do a few miles in the new toy after all the rain.

This could have been a better day.

So with the venting done. Anyone have a recommendation for paintless dent removal in the northern westchester / putnam area?

Preferably mobile.

You going to file a claim? Sorry about your luck. Blow outs are scary.

I wasn't going to file.
It's not that bad - two pieces of plastic liner that I can't seem to find part numbers for and a crease on a seam that should PDR.

Edit: I think these are the ones, but am having some mental block as to whether they are passenger side (correct) or drivers side (not correct).

And I still need a PDR reco if anyone has one.

If I'm not mistaken, that area is HSLA steel and will be extraordinarily difficult for a dent removal guy... so if you can get a 'fix it or don't pay' commitment, that would be best.

side skirt needs replacement ( nbd.. $250..) and the body dent isn't pdr fixable so figure +/- 400 @ local body shop. then there's the wheel liner ( cheap ) tire ( whatever you run ) and is a new ..cheap, if you buy a new set you're looking at what i ended up doing.. cheap if it's just a replacement 997 wheel..

i hit a boulder on a regular run last year and since i then needed an entire set of wheels it was a $4k+ rock.

add: 2nd look. skirt looks ok so - 250. either way. bummer.

Did you hit or take a hit of a 4K rock.

to clarify, i rounded a corner and there was road debris from a storm and i had to pick one of several small rocks though one may have qualified as a boulder and having little choice, i just smashed into one, that ended up costing me 4k.

i realize *now*.. that "hit a 4k rock" might mean something else in different circles, e.g. richard pryor ued to hit 4k rocks daily. so yeah,...

Yeah. The photo doesn't do it justice. I got a quote earlier and it's going to be a wee bit more than $400.

OTOH I had a blowout on the Taconic and am still able to whine about a minor ding to my toy car. Things aren't that bad...
