Even with those miles car is really priced low. I would highly recommend having the car gone over more thoroughly than the standard Ppi check. I'd also make sure it isnt a salvaged title. You may put yourself in a position of having to drop some serious coin on wear items esp at the mileage. If that's the case you might consider spending a little more up front for a lower mileage/well maintained. Not saying this car isn't good because these cars can and do hold up well, but it's all the history. Go over the maintenance records etc.
*** esp so nice this is a modded car I'd find who did the install, what parts were used etc.
Do you have a link for the car?

Get the PPI done if it checks out go for it. Price is about right prob will be able to get it a bit lower after PPI because something will show up with those miles. If he spent the cash to repaint the front end for chips he probably took good care of it.

Think of a car being a lot of parts assembled together, so everytging can be fixed if you have The means. A car can live forever, and can be kept as good as new. I've already spent half of that in prehemptive maintenance, so...
Make The basic: a PPI and a road test: if it feels good, go for it and prepare to spend a lot to do what it takes.
That's mine below. Good luck with your hunt.
PS: sorry my poor english.

If I were you look for one with lower miles. I have a feeling lots of repair bills will be coming your way especially one that has been "tuned". I saw some 996 Turbo's on craigslist and on autotrader with miles in the 75-100k for around the same price as the car your currently looking at.
Here is one with 100k miles and is $29k

This one is at a Porsche dealer with 100k miles and at 34k. You can probably talk them down too as it has been there for almost 1 month.

Except the $29K version you posted is a TIP, which kills about 3 or 4K of value with that high of mileage (IMO), and the detail in the add shows he/she didnt want to spend more than 2 minutes posting the car for sale....
A CLEAN, good condition 85-100K mile version should be in the 32-35K range depending on the maintenance records and body condition/history unless you luck into a steal IMO.

^ Concur with Olemiss540. I think the $31k price is market correct. There was a low-mileage 996tt but with a salvage title (flood) that sold on BaT a couple of weeks ago for $35,500 (plus the BaT buyer's fee, which is not insignificant).
I wouldn't be afraid of the engine at 125k miles - there are many examples of much higher mileage cars that are still running great. It will be the peripherals that get you. If you are comfortable doing some of your own wrenching, then I'd move forward with it. If your mindset is to take it in to the dealership every time something goes wrong, it will probably eat you out of house & home. But, if you can wrench some and have a reasonably priced indy for the tough stuff, then go for it.

Those combined with a PPI and you'll understand what you're dealing with.
Could be a great deal if the records show lots of components and PM were done. Oil changes and new tires aren't that exciting.

i have an 03 @ 135k mi with some very tasteful ( and not haphazard by any means ) mods and when i last asked a used buyer ( large area dealer specializing in pcars ) with whom a friend of mine works he said my car if i had to sell it tomorrow would be 26k. just for reference. i nearly threw up, but i suppose tack on a cpl grand more to a PP? but that's the market. oh add ONE MORE grand because it's spring lol
