Default Repair air bag leather?

I can't be the only one with this issue. Not sure what glue to use, as anything strong enough would seem difficult to clean up after the "ooze" where the seams meet. Anyone successfully repaired this?

you need to be careful. Probably wouldnt take much glue in the wrong place to possibly misdirect a exploding bag.

I would just find a good used replacement.

Unplug the car's battery, then unscrew bag, then unplug bag, then try a heat gun to see if it gets better, or worse?

Watching with interest - all 3 corners like that on mine. If you do replace yours, I'd be interested in buying your old cover (no airbag).

I'm going to try and glue this back down, as it was originally. I'll follow up in the thread on my results.

Thanks all for your input.

How are you going to get underneath and apply the glue without pulling up the material that is fine?

I have a couple of spots like this elsewhere, and I'm thinking the best way would be a syringe with the smallest needle possible filled with a glue, and inject where needed... like Botox!

The leather is actually seamed where the the French seam is. In other words, I can lift the edge of the center piece all the way around, right between the two stitch lines. It's not really stitched together, just made to look that way. I should be able to get glue evenly under the pieces.
