Default 996tt purchase

Well, waiting on doc to sign and I will be proud owner of a beautiful polar silver turbo. 2002 with 20k miles and I am freaking pumped. This will be my 9th P car but my first 911 turbo. Looking forward to being back in the mix!

Congrats man you will love the car. I just recently bought mine 2 weeks ago and it's a 2001 996tt meridian exterior black interior with carbon fiber and 46k miles. You can't ever go wrong with a 996 turbo. Post those pics man!!!

Congrats! Low mileage too. Someone babied that car and now it's time for you to enjoy it.

I had a 951 turbo s and loved how the turbo felt...I am a freak and love turbo lag. But that was 285 HP. My 996 of course - concern over IMS so had that done but just always had thought in head. I know there are failure points on these as well, but I am absolutely freaking pumped!

congrats on your impending acquisition. there are some very simple ways to mitigate the infamous "lag" the stock cars then to exhibit. once you begin to mod it.

but get to know it as it comes to you and you'll be able to easily determine what needs attention sooner rather than later.

this will be akin to TWO 285hp motors in back with a few well matched bolt ons and a tune/exhaust etc etc ( if it doesnt have one yet ).

enjoy.

This turbo will remind you you're in something special every time you nail it for more than 3 seconds. I could only wait about two weeks before getting a tune from Kevin at UMW that made a good increase in power and lowered the point where boost hit.
