Am I a wimp or...
I have been driving the last couple months my 03' X50 with the Fabspeed "quite" exhaust and can hardly take the noise anymore when going anywhere for more than 30 minutes or so. At 3000 rpm, it is relatively quite, but above and below that, it gets really annoying in the cabin. Is there anyone who has tried both a Fabspeed and others and switched due to lodness of Fabspeed?
Maybe I'm a wimp...

I guess it is all a matter of perspective. Compared to the loud or some of the other systems on the market it would be reclassified as mouse quiet You should have started with the FS loud then moved to the quiet Anything would have seemed better. I switched from the EP to the FS quiet. I personally find that if I am not lugging the car around the resonance is not an issue at all. BTW I am 34 and two kids

Trust me when I say that what offroadr35 says about the turbo-exhaust is true, it is so loud you wouldn't believe it. I went to fabspeed loud from it, and it was like going to whisper quiet...well not quite, but a big difference.
By the way offroadr how are you liking it...hopefully it is what you expected...you got a great deal on it

All of you are wimps! Watch the Fabspeed video of my straight pipes... That's what I'm talking about.
I remember talking to Stephen on the phone trying to locate him when I was arriving at the AutoFest. He goes "Bloody hell is that you making that noise". I find it very useful. For example, when gunning it up the hill close to my house my wife knows that I'm only a few minutes away from home and can wrap up the work she's doing and greet me at the door so I don't need to say "Hi honey I'm home". The straight pipes from Fabspeed do it for me. They say it with care and much love.

Wimp! (j/k) If its not your daily drive you will get used to it. I do agree with the advantages of a loud exhuast! People know when you arrive! I dont have to honk for someone to get out of their house! They know im there as i come down the street!
I do have to say, somebody brought up in a GT3 comment that they could not hear their cell phone over the exhaust... thats a WIMP!!! Our cars sound amazing, i say let em' sing!

There is musical loud and migraine loud. On my C5 Vette, I had a set of B&Bs that were med loud at WOT, but had teeth chattering , eardrum whomping resonance at freeway cruising . When I switched to Corsa Indys, they were so loud that at repeated WOT my ears would ring for the rest of the day but what a glorious sound AND NO resonance at any RPM, esp low RPM throttle tip- in which is most critical and 90% of stop and go driving. Any exhaust that sounds like driving a UPS or garbage truck around town is just crude, IMO, no matter what the WOT sound is like.
