Unfortunately I don't know the back story at all. I just found it somewhere on the internet. I have it on my desktop at work and tell anyone that asks that it's a pic of my retirement plan after the crash of 2008.......
I love Meridian Metallic. I think the more dynamic colors are really cool, I really like how different they look in different light. I might call the tint visible in Meridian in certain light "rose," not pink. A while back I was looking at some videos of 996tts filmed around the time of the car's release, and noticed that the press cars were mostly colors (lots of reds (orient maybe? not guards) and blues), and I think these cars look awesome in a vibrant color. Interesting that in the end consumers gravitated towards greys, silvers, and blacks that were so popular amongst teutonic cars in the 2000s and on.
Was at a BMW dealer with my brother who's ordered a M2 and decided to park between these two bimmers...shocked at how small it looks next to that 1-series, lol
