Agreed, yours looked gorgeous. Maybe the time of the year didn't help.

The $50K barrier is a notable one and while as a seller I'm all for breaking it, others have noted it can be a "gut check" value.
$50k is the new $30k in car cost, a loaf of bread isn't $2.00 anymore either and there's a lot of cars waay over $50k that drive like a loaf of bread and will deprecate wildly. These cars are a bargain at $50k well kept.

Totally. A new base carrera with 370hp and minimal options costs $100k. For that money you can buy a very good 996tt which will puke in the new carrera's face, plus a very good SC or 3.2 or some other car if you prefer, and a winter beater on top. No brainer!

yeah I just bought a 996TT and feel a bit self conscious driving one around. Which is dumb because there are a ton of people in my area driving $60k+ suv and sedans like they are nothing.

interesting price point. the seller is a member here on Rennlist, who posted saying so. He was also posting up about an intermittent squeal the car was having..

it certainly appears these cars are trending upwards now regardless.

Rick you are spot on there. I had almost zero interest all winter. Then in Feb, bam... offers and PMs like crazy. Just piled in. A good buyer from this forum bought it and he was a pleasure to deal with. He had a 997 Carrera I believe. He got a pretty good deal IMO. Even the guy that did the PPI said my 996tt was the nicest he had seen and he sees them daily. Its a shame people couldn't have seen my car in person because it mostly looked show room new.

Yours was very nice and I was very interested and I don't even like red that much. Sadly I didn't get one of my cars sold in time to contact you. I ended up getting an 03 with some mods, but would rather have had yours. From a buyer perspective, the market certainly went up the past 12 months.
