I recently sold my 996 NA and am looking for a tt to replace her. If anyone around here know of a well sorted ride I am ready and willing to look at it.

I do not really have any minimum requirements other than the it needs to be properly sorted, have a manual trans and be 40k or below. Thanks to all for any help.

if you are UN afraid of mileage? check mine out. its worked on every TWO WEEKS by my buddy who is a master tech. can rebuild g50 boxes at will.
drivers car. not a showroom garage/queen car. can be driven to the track ( it has and kick a** @ willow ) and then driven home. youll just need tires and brake pads for the day

sending out a feeler and i have an an offer from yesterday but figured why not post here in answer to your post, this from a dealership specializing in pcars. its from a guy there specifically wants a "canyon car". EXACTLY what this is. this is built to DRIVE and will shock many a gt2/3 ( as long as stock LOL ) and a stock 997.2? i have left MANY in awe, afraid of rock chips as they eventually give up and meet me at the top on the hill: here's the basics. basics? has a couple small dings that a PDR guy could take out, windscreen is gonna need to be redone as there' a nick/chip, cant be expoxied also is wrapped by 50/50 w the silver underneath which is presumably better that that outer silver lol which is fine. like i said a nick or two. I'm thinking seriously of getting into a 60/75k mile 997.1tt. or getting really drunk for a month IF i sell.

oh yeah, that OZ anthracite wheels have shiny new ( thx JD!! ) brembo argento gray calipers that look frikin AMAZING! that sold the car to the guy that pcar shop. his offer is cash in hand. if he gets the right 997.1 I/S? then thats whats gonna happen. again, if miles scare ya? dont bother.... 132.500. and PURRS. no issues.. NONE other than the minor cosmetics mentioned and to be seen everything works flawlessly.

i realize you guys must? be speaking generally since they pre date MY posting which ( again was in reply to the first! posting of a guy seeking a car! ) lol..but i thought i'd keep MY reply as generic and non specific as (a) i didn't know what "well sorted" would mean. but one would think a different set of criteria for different people!? would make for "we;ll sorted"! that's ( i think? ) why i refer to mine to mine as "mid sorted" and listed some things done, so others could judge! its certainly not a BUILT 3.8 but nor it is a stock comfy let go to ralphs for groceries car either ( it ISN'T!! )

so assuming no one has yet respoded it shall remain "vague as it IS!! just a feeler, and as such feedback is equally valuable to me as any prospect of a sale. i only took it to one guy becuase he has about (40) 911;s! and a relatively quick and ez trade +/- $$ seems an easily accomplished proposition. plus since i know my haters as well as friends "here" any input might also be helpful once i was able to ascertain how and determining what method of accounting for the inequality of estimated values from either camp might be achieved lol

so, we'll see if any one responds with any helpful info, as thats all I'm lookin for, and either pleasant as well as unpleasant will still help me. longer term..its sure not gonna go UP in value lol

 

Sorry for any confusion i may have caused by not be more specific. I really only have several absolutes:
1) Manual Trans
2) Be 40k or less
3) Mechanically sound and paint/body looks nice
4) MUST PASS GA Emissions!
5) Clear and Clean Title

I know of a salvage title speed yellow turbo about 45k miles fresh paint all repairs done c/f interior all stock fir 28,000$ add 5,000$ for k24/71hta turbos,4.5"i/c and a tune

No such thing anymore. Sure, you can buy one for less but your total investment when all the issues are sorted is well north.

There are still examples like that out there I picked mine up just a smidge above your window and it ticks all boxes. This was just two weeks ago.

I had also found local Porsche specific forums/facebook pages and put feelers out there.

End combination was a car on 6speedonline and ebay at the same time, ended up being the one for me.

 

It will be difficult to find a good one at $40k. You would have a better shot at $45k.
