Default Added a second 996TT to the driveway

I really have enjoyed driving my first 996TT as a DD and now more dedicated track car and so saw a deal I couldn't pass up. Amazing car with an amazing powertrain......goes and goes and goes

Congratulations.

I can understand the decision; especially for a dedicated track car. Have the coolant hoses already been modified on your track beast?

Nice! Can't argue with that!
I want to add a 6TT year-round daily at some point

Actually the new one is an automatic i.e. no hardcore race clutch so the wife is indeed the coolest ever and now extremely happy to drive a 996TT 8 )

Congratulations on the second one. My wife drives our 996TT Tip regularly. She loves it.

Nice one Nikon - another dueling Porsche owner! They both look great! How do you like the tip compared to the 6 speed? (PS: as requested, PM sent)

Email sent.

I really haven't driven the car enough to get a strong sense of the Tip. My Gray one is tuned to ~500HP/Tq and has some significant mods/upgrades so it is difficult to compare with the new acquisition. The tip as a result feels rather tame.......hmmm maybe some upgrades/tuning are in the future?

i think there's something incredibly just "right" about having a detuned tip for movie/dinner nights and/or traffic ( or to have the significant other drive it.. though perish the thought lol ) and then a 2nd tuned modded one for daytime madness.

but i have been struggling myself with again having another 993 before they become all but unreachable $ for me. but it isn't practical, and thankfully i'm not looking diligently. but what a great thing to have ( again ) .. two. but i miss that air cooled door thumping 300 hp car like nobodies business. still.

sorry for rambling in your thread. i'd keep the tip stock..*mostly* i mean heh.
