And to reiterate just to be clear and send the right message, Tirerack was great and did everything they could. OZ wouldn't do anything for me....maybe even selling me one at 'cost' would've smoothed the situation out a bit...

+1. That definitely explains your stance, but there has to be some alternative LTW wheel options for a good price. Not familiar enough with the Porsche aftermarket wheel options yet.

If you get some CCW's/Fikse or the like, I would run them as your street wheels and use the OEM twists for track duty. I love the look of some CCW's!

NT01s are best bang for the buck. R888s=garbage.. CCW are not heavy wheels but tires rotate around on them no matter what you do which becomes annoying. Get Finspeeds with bead knurling.
He' AWD. and he's planning to go with 8.5 x 11's. No need to with a 12" if you're not going to run over 315? With running 315/30 in rear he should be able to go with either 235 or 245/40 up front?

Regarding NT-01, there not doubt they're superior, shameless plug

No structural issues for me with the OZs and track days so far. I'll likely upgrade to the other brands with bead knurling though once budget allows... Regarding the R888s, work ok on the first day and they drop like a rock after that. I was hoping they would be better than the Toyo RA1s since I ran them on a different car for several years. Next set of track tires will be Nittos or Hoosiers.

My suggestion would be to go more aggressive on offset then GT2 specs from my experience.. even when using 9" up front and 12" at rear...

I haven't tried NT-01 because they are hard to get here in Canada. The R888's were really good, all though didn't last long. I think I liked the 315's R888's more vs 295 PS cups.

I buy my Nittos from discounttiredirect.com. They have great prices and I think they ship to Canada but I am not sure what taxes and customs fee are like.

I used r888s on my 1985 Carrera 3.2 track car and they were great, especially in the damp/wet, but for some reason the NT-01s work better on my 996TT. I have a track buddy who uses r888s on his 996TT and he is super quick on them so I think tires like most other things comes down to feel and car set up.

How do you get the 315s to fit in your wheel wells? Spacers?

I have 12" oz wheels, they work with and without my 7mm spacers. But my inner wheel liner has worn out where they would have rubbed and don't anymore. They really only rubbed during cornering when sidewall is flexed and over bumps with ought the spacers. I don't think rubbed at all with them. I also don't have the gt2 wheel liner arms I just bend the stock ones back as far as the hose out of the turbo would allow.

245/315 works with an 8.5/11 it's just not optimal. A 9/12 will stretch the sidewall a little bit (instead of pinching it) which will improve the response of the tire by increasing the stiffness of the sidewall.
