I just got a DCS wheel today after ordering 2-3 weeks ago, very pleased with it. Call Ivan, very high quality and good price with core trade. The DIY install isn't so bad either.

same here, took over a month to receive, basically they added 2mm padding and covered with perforated sides and smooth leather top and bottom with silver stitching. Actual removal and replacement time was under 20 minutes. Looks fantastic, not too gaudy. Got one for the Cayman S too, same but with red stitching, very nice, and the workmanship is flawless from what I can tell.

What would you advise for the best bang for my buck?
You can give these guys a call.

I see they do carbon fiber as well, but I have no experience with it. However, I did buy a high quality leather skin for my 911SC steering wheel. I sewed it myself if you're the DIY type and would consider leather in place of carbon fiber. I do remember there are about 240 holes that I had to put the thread through. Several sore fingers and about 4 hours over a couple days completed the job. Here's a photo. I added the center emblem just as an added touch.

i just dont think people realize how well it suits the car, or exactly how little $580 euros is, compared to refurbing one like a dctm or something. 911uk even has em for 490 quid. i just wouldn't wanna be the recipient of anything with a declarable combustive airbag shipped from brussels right now or anywhere in the EU for that matter right now lol. thanks very much. whew.
Had it before,, great tight feeling. Mine was Gambella,,,

No issues with mine, but I also never drive it. I wash with tears of virgin and dry with the supple leather of snow leopard hides.

You guys have convinced me to just sell with one with the cracked CF on eBay and buy one from Carnewal.

Buying one sight-unseen scares me a bit. Any recommendations?

as posted above. i went with the "cavallo race" in aluminum and leather. in keeping with my car interior/exterior being black X sliver.

the quality of the raid wheel actually exceeds the quality of the porsche interior in fit and finish in my estimation. it's "that" good. same as the dvd wheel. they are all "raid".

but for 800 bucks!?! there is no better deal for a new airbag included wheel. don't forget to get the "adapter" which you'll need, its like 80/90 bucks. then it takes about a week from carnewal. email gert and he'll answer any/all question you may have.

but be aware, belgium is having more than their share of strangeness over there right now owing to the beginning of ww3. not sure if that has "yet" to affect "commerce".

you wont be sorry. just pick the "style" you like and make sure you get the 340mm.

Finally got a pic below. Old one was shiny and of course skinnier.

I have a DCT wheel in good shape I'd let go for half of retail.

It's like this:

but with perfed leather grips, and white contrasting stitching. PM if interested.

It feels a lot better than stock.
