Be sure to use silicone underneath the plug to ensure water tightness.

This pic is making me re-think my janky zip-tie solution. No wiper looks so clean . . . When I had my NSX, I removed my front wipers and just Rain-X'ed, I never drove it in the rain, so it wasn't an issue . . . silly mod, but I like both of these-- KH

I'm also a big Rain-X fan. I drive my 996 Turbo in the rain, and rarely use the wipers. Certainly at Interstate speeds, I find no need for wipers, as the water rolls right off with the Rain-X applied.

$79 for that!?

Buy 1" diameter plastic plug at hardware store for less than a buck. I had mine painted when bumper was getting re sprayed, but would imagine you can find touch up paint in a can.

I have no idea what I paid for my wiper delete plug, as I've had it for a long time. If I were just now pulling the rear wiper, I'd pay $79 for the plug without batting an eye.

Can you post up a picture of your installed plug?

I'll have to check next weekend to see if my spare one of these plugs works. Made a couple for my Audi and Corrado. Use a o-ring and nut to secure them. Should have some time next weekend to pull the wiper arm and motor out to check and see if it does fit.

Agree definitely not cheap but you pay for the convenience and their paint looks top notch.

That's the ticket. Bumperplugs uses a 19 step paint/clear coat process, and it shows.

I assume the silicone can be removed without damaging the car's paint, but I have not ever had a reason to remove the plug, so I can't speak from direct experience.
Thank you, will order for my car asap. Personally I like the looks without the wiper much more.

If I had a coupe, I would remove the rear wiper too. It looks better plus I don't drive my car in the rain.
