Default Deleted the Wiper

996tt looks great without that stinking wiper. I've hated it since the car was delivered. Pics below. Easy as heck to remove.

I also never liked the rear wiper, especially after it scratched my paint. I had the rear wiper up to clean the rear window and accidentally bumped the raised arm. The wiper blade pivoted and the arm sprang back to the window, causing the end of the wiper blade to gouge the paint. I had intended to remove the wiper prior to the accident, but acted too late to save the paint. I deleted the rear wiper after that.

This is a good mod that really takes the 'dated' look away from the 996 a little bit more. I have it on mine also.

Once again I'm in the minority as I like the look but admit it can mar up paint/trim.

No hate here. It's not that I don't like the look, it just looks dated. I like that the 996 has an awesome body that's kind of timeless like other 911s. The wiper is just something you don't see anymore.

The rear glass wiper is one of my favorite accessories on a 911. Steve McQueen had one on his 911 it was featured in the film LeMans and I have lusted after a rear wiper ever since. My current Turbo is my first 911 to have one. I will never remove it.

Yea I'm old school but do like most of the new car styling etc. The old school feel/touches are why I chose the 996t= just the right mix. Dock love the pic.

Wish that was mine.

Just a reminder of how long the rear wiper has been around on the 911.

Good looking dog, tell him he has to lay on his side.

The dog is like that 964...that's not to say that my dog isn't just as good looking as the dog in my post (I just rotated my computer 90 degrees for my dog so he didn't have to tilt his head).
