LSM,
1) Less unsprung weight --> more supple ride and better handling over rough/bumpy surfaces.
2) Way less brake dust, according to owner testimony here. (I'm lazy, fastidious & willing to use weak justifications)
3) Yellow looks better with Lapis than Red?
