They sell them on tirerack.com. Ken (KPV) has them on his turbo so you might want to check with him.

You might want to also try Wheel Enhancement they have a large selection of wheels for Porsche, and if you want to save some money but a one piece wheel try the SSR-GT1. But here is Ken's or KPV 996 Turbo

Wheel Enhancement. Ask for Dave Martin and tell him Ken sent you.

Ken,

How are the SSR GT-3s in terms of weight? Are the 19's much heavier than the hollow spoke 18's? Also, what is the difference between semi-solid forged vs. HRE forged wheels?

I'm thinking of getting the SSR GT3's in 18 for track use. I'm looking for the lightest 18's I can find.

Thanks

Chris,
Ask Dave at WE. He can answer those questions. I don't plan to routinely track the car (maybe once or twice for fun) since I got the MINI for that purpose. The weight was not a very big concern to me at the time of purchase. My intuition is that a solid one piece wheel would probably be lighter than a 3 piece whaell like the GT3's. Maybe the GT1's would be a better alternative. The circumferentially located bolts must represent a significant percentage of the overall wheel weight. Just my $0.02.

N3O,
Thanks!

Mansoor,
I couldn't agree more.

Default wheel weights

I just ordered gt3's for my M coupe and can't wait. That gembella turbo is beautiful by the way. Having done a lot of research into wheels lately, my recommendation for track wheels would be the new forged bbs RG-R. It is an extremely light wheel that looks quite good imo. Other light wheels include the SSR Competition, but those don't look as neat. My ssr gt3's weight 24lbs front and 25.3 rear (18x8.5 18x10). The ssr comps weight in at something like 17frt and 19 rear. The RG-R's weigh something similair to the ssr comps. Here's an url for your consideration if you really care about wheel weight:

Just put 18" GT3s on my 01. 8.5 fronts, 11.5 rears with Pirellis P zeros. No fitment problems at all so far. I love the look-many compliments! I'm going to powder coat or paint my old wheels the body color and use them for a change of pace. I'm not concerned with any weight differences.

the stock hollow spoke would seem a very reasonable wheel for street use, i may try a set on my old 928. im upgrading the engine and an 11" rear wheel would be usefull!
