The GT 3 seats are terrific; they are snug, as they should be, and the side bolsters make getting in and out a little more difficult, but they fit me well (6'1"-225lbs) ; can they be raked more, ie front lip higher rear seat lower, or will this require some sort of new bracket with correspondingly different mating holes?
The FabSpeed Quiet is anything but, and at low revs, its blaring. This forces me to get on it all the time, which is not a bad thing.
The P factory roll bar is a nice set-up and with the red racing belts, the car looks truly extreme. However, for street driving, i see no need for the harness. What do others do? (My regular belts are still connected).

The performance exhaust seems (may be its my imagination, or its the result of burying the throttle sooner) to put me into boost quicker, and the car seems to feel more "broken in" or less constrained on throttle. I am still marvelling at the handling of this thing, as i spent the day tooling around near Bear Mtn. NYC had the day off as a result of the power outage last nite and i couldn't have had a better day to take a drive.

Glad you are pleased with the seats. I have them as standard in my GT2 Clubsport (being euro-spec) and they are very comfortable (I'm 6ft and 230lbs). I've driven 8 hours in one day in them and had no problems.

I also have 6 point harnesses (as standard also) and I've never actually used them yet, I just use the normal seatbelt for the road.

Try OP Racing. They sell brackets manufactured by Brey-Krause for $159/ side. The part number is R-9078, R-9079 for the respective sides.

Oops!... Make that $144.95/ side, and they are adjustable for rake, although it appears not over a very wide range. Maybe if we found enough interest, we could have someone fabricate some for us. They really look to be quite simple...I'd sign on.

billhart,

i use the laps with the factory belt as well when i'm pounding it locally, and just the factory around town and THREE INCH not 2 inch harnesses for racing and nevada runs. if you go racing in USA, those 2 inch belts are not acceptable in virtually all forms of racing.

have you noticed how the roll bar stiffens the car?

Watt: I wouldn't cut off an inch for anyone. Seriously, i think mine are of the wide variety, but i'll check. Yes, the car feels stiffer, and i have yet to get it to do all the unpredictable stuff i was warned about with the GT-2. I still have to wait a beat for the turbos to come on, but even a jet engine takes a second or two, when you switch to afterburner, to start making tracks. This car is just phenomenal to drive. After 1/2 dozen ferraris, it is a revelation. The only real quarrel has nothing to do with its mechanical characteristics, but the interior is not in keeping with the calibre or intention of the car. I would frankly do away with the radio, cup holder and faux leather, and go for that stripped down look. The 360 Stradale almost achieves that.
DAB: thanks for the tip on that site. I will talk to my dealer about how these seats are installed and see how the various brackets work. I guess having something that is adjustable, even with an allen wrench, defeats the purpose of rigidity. I am accustomed to changing my seating postion with my body's mood.
I am still deciding whether i like the exhaust. It does seem to enhance the performance of the car, but calling this the "quiet" version just shows how subjective noise and resonance is. I'm still game for the Ruf if the performance characteristics of the tested one get sorted out. Thanks, all.
