Default Alternator recommendation

Wanting to avoid the $1400 alternator . . . . which other ones are decent that will get the job done. I wasn't sure about the following:

Duralast
Raylock
Ultima.

Thanks guys!

Stick with the Bosch unit:

AL0700X TIP
AL0812X MT to 2/2004

Don't know if it is decent or not, but it's always good to know all your options:

ACDelco 3342673 for manual trans
ACDelco 3342071 for tiptronic

Thanks. I went with the Bosch Remanufactured for $250 after 10% discount. I think for the price it was justified.

$80 for core charge, so $330 shipped minus the $80

Personally I would bet its the regulator, and very easy replacement part.
