John,

I just wanted to send you a quick note that the car is now back on the road from the accident. The bumper and cosmetic repair went perfectly!

As for the exhaust....I am absolutely in love with it! Your recommendation was spot on. Incredible sound when really stretching its legs, without being punishing at low load/speed. No drone I am able to find, even with the windows up. I only was able to drive it this evening about 30min, but I am very happy with the purchase. You have an incredible knowledge of the product, and its fit for your customers. Your excellent communication through this process was second to none. I will admit was a little apprehensive of the round tips in the oval cutout, but it looks so at home with OEM quality and actually improved the appearance. My father saw the car today and commented on how good the tips look, and he is very difficult to please with vehicles.

My shop was skeptical when they pulled the exhaust out of the box and there was no muffler. They gave me a look like "oh you poor soul, this is going to be too loud", however they were impressed with the sound, and even more with the fit and finish of the system which went on perfectly from what they said.

Thank you so much for creating this great exhaust. I am now in love with the car again after the bitterness of the accident!

-Ryan
This was mine. Still love the hell out of this exhaust. 1st and last aftermarket exhaust that will ever be on my car! Its as good as advertised, plain and simple. Thanks again for this piece of aural art!

Default Speedtech

My Speedtech 3" X -pipe with 100 cel cats & Ruf style dual 3' tips, staggered.

Its loud/aggressive but sounds good none the less. Lots of turbo spool up & down.

Sound clip (warm idle)

Default 2.5 quiet

I have the 2.5 quiet in my 04 996tt. The exhaust sounds great but I am considering swapping it back as the volume is probably much higher in my cab vs a coupe. If this was a weekend car I would leave it as it sounds wonderful but it is my 60mi/day daily driver.

We just ran some 2.5 "quiet" internal X-Flow mufflers and made a couple extra. Normally a 6 week wait, I have two available that can be paired with 100 cell cats and be used with either OEM tips or with our SE tips. These are the choice of customers that want the performance of a high flow exhaust without a lot of volume. It's a very comfortable, high performance exhaust option with fantastic tonal qualities due to our proprietary internal X-Pipe and sound engineered tips. Completely fabricated in the USA by skilled TIG welders. Contact us for forum discount pricing.

How much difference in sound between OEM X50 style tips versus the SE tips?

I have the SE tips; the sound was very different, deeper, frenetic at redline, than with the X50 tips installed.

I actually liked how the SE tips fit in the rear valance. Attached:

Yeah, there is a tonal difference. IMO, the SE tips have a more refined tuned sound and the OEM tips are raspier. I prefer the SE tips for their sound qualities, we engineered them to compliment our system.

My OCD won't accept asymmetrical and symmetrical shapes to combine, it would drive me crazy.

I am considering removing the cats on my 2.5" quiet. Does anyone have any experience with the increase in decibels and/or drone?
