Traded my 996 C2 in for a 996 Turbo...
I bought my 996 C2 last year, and while bored a few weekends ago my wife and I test drove a 996 turbo. It was all downhill from there. I would wake up in the middle of the night sweaty screaming "FLAT 6!!!!" "VVVRRRMMM, PPPSSSHHHH" and other nightmarish things. I wasn't eating, I was losing weight, I couldn't see straight, it was horrible.
Then, this Saturday night we head back to the dealer and cut a deal on this beauty. Black on black, 55k miles, 3 owners, fully documented service history, and bone stock (which I preferred):

Two things:
First and foremost congratulations on the purchase!! You will love this car.
Second: Park Place ......? Get a second look at the car through a Cantrell's inspection.
Welcome to the 996TT! Are you planning on any HPDE's here in the Puget Sound?

Nice work. Nice car.

Thank you for the kind words, everyone. This really is one of the finest cars I have ever driven, and most certainly that I have ever owned. It seems to do everything I want it to with poise. Whether that is sitting in rush hour traffic going to work, finding some fun country roads, or having a nice drive with the wife.
Nikon FM: I plan on doing some DE's in the area this summer. I just need to prioritize my time and actually make my way out to a few.
Thanks for the tip for Cantrell's, I'll give them a call later today.

Great choice & congratulations! They are addictive and you'll find it hard to go back to anything "normal" again.
They are meant to be driven, so enjoy it to the fullest.

Congrats! Guess that's how mine looked for the original owner.......
Looks like we're at the same mileage. Though I've put nearly 3K on mine in seven weeks of having it. (Left it "resting" in Phoenix earlier today until next weekend, where it will get some track duty over the following 3 weekends.)

I am quickly finding out that after owning a car like this, it'll be near impossible to go back to a "normal" car. My wife is already asking me what my "responsible" family car is going to be. I'm thinking M5. Once you start down this path, I see it being very difficult to go back.
Race911, you have an envious collection, well done.
